What is DCFVA?

Introduction to DCFVA:

DCFVA is the abbreviation for Direct Current Filtered Vacuum Arc. It falls in to the family of PVD arc deposition process which is commonly used to deposit thin film on precision tooling.

Creation of Plasma:

One key feature of DCFVA is to use low voltage, high current to strike on the target therefore creating a very dense plasma arc.

Filtering of Plasma:

The plasma is then directed and filtered through the bend. By filtering the plasma, only pure electrons are being directed into the vacuum chamber.

Film Deposition:

Film deposited by DCFVA have lesser micro particle, higher film density, low residual stress and exhibits excellent tribological properties.
